And so the adventure begins...
Welcome to Mucky Pups!
You will be met by your key-worker or your buddy who will help you find your child’s peg, tray, and put their lunch box (if they need one) on the trolley and settle your child.
Every child feels different about nursery (and every parent) and we respond to your child appropriately. Please be reassured we will take very good care of them and have lots of fun and cuddles until you come to collect them.
PLEASE send your child in comfy clothing which you do not mind getting dirty and are easy to take on and off. This makes changing nappies and independent toileting much easier for moving in and outside and toileting

First day hints...
Arrive on time
Be POSITIVE even if your child (and you) are feeling wobbly! It will really help your little one settle.
Be organised with EVERYTHING your child needs
Be prepared to stay for a few minutes to pass over your child
Talk to your child's key-worker to pass on any information you feel they will need.
Wave goodbye and have a lovely day!
Look out for your first day picture.

Absent from nursery...
If your child is off nursery for ANY reason please let us know as soon as possible by phoning or sending us an email.
If your child is clearly ill please don’t send them to nursery, particularly if they have been sick or have an infectious disease. If you are not sure whether your child is really ill, give them time to wake up properly and see if they will eat their usual breakfast. If you are still unsure, bring them and talk to us about the problem.
If your child is taken ill at nursery we will ring you. Please make sure that we have correct phone numbers in case.

Concerns...
If you ever have any concerns about your child’s school life please bring it to our attention. Often minor concerns and worries can build up and soon become major issues if they are not dealt with quickly. To prevent this from happening we have an open-door policy and are always willing to discuss anything you have to say about your child.
We have a “Meet and Greet” session every morning and a “Goodbye” time each evening to share and celebrate news form home to school and vice versa. This is a good time to discuss any issues with a member of staff or to make a longer appointment time if necessary.
We want your child to be happy at school and will do all we can, with your help to make this happen
