What we learn becomes part of who we are...
A Day at Mucky Pups...
At Mucky Pups, your child enjoys a clear, consistent routine that helps them feel safe, secure, and confident about their day. Each day is carefully balanced between Together Times (adult-led group moments) and Discovery Time (child-led play and exploration), so your child can learn new skills while also following their own interests.
We use gentle, familiar cues — such as timers and musical instruments — to help your child move calmly from one part of the day to the next. This supports independence, builds confidence, and helps them feel in control of their routine.
Welcome Time – from 8:00am
Your child is warmly welcomed into the setting, helping them settle in at their own pace. This is a relaxed time for chatting, connecting with friends, and starting the day feeling happy and secure.
Together Times
Throughout the day (9:00am, 10:30am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm, with Hello Time before lunch), your child is invited to join small, engaging group sessions led by our practitioners.
These Together Times are fun, interactive, and tailored to your child’s age and stage of development.
They help build confidence, communication, and a love of learning through shared experiences.
Hello Time
Your child comes together with their friends to start the day as a group. They explore the Value of the Month, talk about feelings, and begin to understand daily routines such as days of the week and months of the year. This helps your child feel connected, settled, and ready to learn.
Marvellous Maths
Through songs, games, and hands-on activities, your child explores numbers, counting, and early problem-solving. This playful approach helps build confidence and a positive attitude towards maths.
Sensational Sounds
Your child enjoys listening, singing, and experimenting with sounds and instruments. These sessions support early phonics skills, building strong foundations for communication, reading, and writing.
Pause for Thought
During this calm and reflective time, your child practises breathing, simple yoga, and mindfulness. They learn to understand and manage their feelings while developing kindness, respect, and awareness of others.
Magical Me
Your child celebrates what makes them unique. Whether they are Star of the Week or learning about others, they build confidence, self-awareness, and a sense of belonging while exploring families, cultures, and experiences.
Special Week
Your child discovers something new and exciting as practitioners share their own interests and passions. These experiences spark curiosity, encourage questions, and inspire new learning.
