World Book week has been fabulous!
We have been reading and sharing lots of amazing stories all over nursery, including out in the garden and in the snug. We enjoyed making a den outside to sit and enjoy stories in whilst the sun has been shining. Our author of the month is Dr Suess, we have enjoyed reading " The Cat in the Hat" and have been exploring this story a lot more this week. We have made fruit kebabs using strawberries and bananas to make it look like the cat's "Hat" we used our brilliant physical skills to chop up the fruit using knives and chopping boards. We spoke about how to be safe when using them and how we should hold the knife correctly, we all did a marvelous job and enjoyed putting melted chocolate on the top of them. On world book day which was Thursday a lot of us brought in stories to share with our friends, we spoke about what happens in the story and why it was our favourite story. Some of us did dress up too as our favourite characters, which was great to see. |
